Platform Visions Beyond SaaS
Prox OS may begin as a browser OS and internal operating manual, but its platform
Position
Prox OS may begin as a browser OS and internal operating manual, but its platform surface is broader than a conventional SaaS dashboard. These visions are staged incubation tracks, not commitments to build everything now.
Vision Tracks
| Track | Why it matters | First small wedge | What not to build yet | Current relation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Founder OS / Solo Founder Operating System | Solo founders need a system for intent, roadmap, governance, pricing, launch, feedback, and AI-readable memory. | Internal docs, Governance app, Join Us app, Pricing app, roadmap, waitlist planning. | Do not create a separate Founder Suite product line yet. | Internal Docs, Governance Console, AI Control Plane docs. |
| AI-native Product Studio Platform | The loop from idea to docs to UI to app to launch can become an operating platform. | Docs app, design operating system, Storybook, Pricing app, Launch roadmap. | Do not build a full no-code studio or AI code generation platform in v0. | Design docs, platform roadmap, app prototypes. |
| App Store / Micro-app Platform | Apps should be registered, installed, opened, reviewed, and composed inside Spaces. | App manifests, app registry, Proxied Apps, shell launcher. | Do not build marketplace billing or public submission workflow yet. | @prox-os/app-contract, @prox-os/app-registry, OS Shell. |
| Personal Data Sovereignty Platform | Personal docs, moments, app data, AI memory, object storage, and import/export need user-owned boundaries. | Source/View planning and private-by-default docs. | Do not store sensitive personal data before security and deletion flows exist. | Data roadmap, storage package, privacy readiness docs. |
| AI Agent Control Plane | Agents need roles, prompts, permissions, run logs, and visible workspaces. | Agent role docs, AI Control Plane docs, Governance objects. | Do not implement autonomous agent runtime or MCP gateway yet. | AI docs, governance docs, mock apps. |
| Community Spaces Platform | Creators and communities need OS Spaces that collect apps, sources, docs, and workflows. | Space roadmap, community role board, public roadmap planning. | Do not build full social network or public marketplace prematurely. | Platform Foundation roadmap and Join Us app. |
| Launch / Growth Platform | Product launches need assets, waitlists, decks, metrics, social channels, and feedback loops. | Launch roadmap, deck workflow, Growth Library cards. | Do not build marketing automation before a stable beta path exists. | Operations docs, growth docs, Pricing app. |
| Developer Platform | Developers need contracts, templates, examples, permissions, SDKs, and publishing paths. | App contract docs, registry docs, future create-os-app roadmap. | Do not generate a new package or CLI until app contract v0 is stable. | packages/contracts/app-contract, packages/runtime/app-registry, docs. |
Shared Platform Loop
Intent
-> docs / roadmap / role map
-> app contract / manifest / source metadata
-> shell opening / Space composition
-> permission declaration
-> launch / feedback / governance
-> future AI-assisted operationMaturity Labels
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Now | Can be documented, mocked, or improved inside the current repository. |
| Next | A plausible near-term prototype or docs-backed implementation. |
| Later | Needs platform foundation, security, or contributor capacity first. |
| Future | Long-term strategic option, not an implementation target. |
Guardrails
- Do not present future platform tracks as shipped capabilities.
- Do not add backend, billing, agent runtime, OAuth, marketplace, or MCP features without explicit scope.
- Use the roadmap to incubate ideas; use app registry and contracts only when the runtime exists.
- Keep Founder OS as a platform vision, not a separate Founder Suite product line in this phase.
