Weather Context

Purpose

Weather Context is a planning connector for forecasts, travel buffers, daily planning, and workspace suggestions.

Boundary

It is not a weather provider replacement and does not compete with Apple Weather, Google Weather, or Open-Meteo.

Current MVP UI

• Mock current forecast, week forecast, travel planning, workspace suggestions, source cards, AI context, and permission panels.

Mock Data Model

The UI uses generic sample weather and approximate location labels. It does not encode a personal address.

Future Connectors

Future work may add weather providers, approximate location consent, travel calendar links, and planning summaries.

Alma Capabilities

Alma can later use approximate forecast context to suggest focus blocks, travel buffers, and daily workspace planning.

Permission Boundaries

Approximate location and precise location are separate scopes. Precise location requires explicit confirmation.

Backend Status

No weather API, browser geolocation, backend route, or real location read exists.

Security And Privacy

Location-derived context is sensitive and should remain opt-in, coarse by default, and auditable.
