The roadmap is split so product vision, platform sequencing, and growth loops do not compete inside one long document.

Focused Roadmaps

• Platform Vision: GitHub -> Hugging Face -> Prox OS analogy, OS Space object model, future OS app portfolio, MCP strategy, and competitor landscape.
• Pricing and Commercialization: Space + Studio + Connector + Permission + MCP Gateway packaging, first $10K experiments, Prox Space Launch Pack, and self-serve vs concierge routes.
• Product Roadmap: v0.1-v0.5 product stages, public preview, waitlist, invite-only beta sequencing, sample apps, and user-facing milestones.
• Platform Roadmap: platform capability sequencing for sources, information, knowledge, workflow, permissions, views, publishing, and app runtime.

• Legacy Combined Roadmap: the larger historical roadmap and planning notes. Keep it for continuity, but prefer the focused files above for new planning.

Current Product Judgment

Short term, Próx OS should not only polish the Web OS shell, and it should not start with a broad personal data sovereignty suite. The current route is cloud-first, GitHub-first, RSS-first, and AI Context-first.

v0.1 should validate in public but onboard through a waitlist and invite-only beta. It should not promise broad global paid access, automatic marketplace payouts, enterprise compliance certification, or autonomous agent execution.

The next best sample app is Awesome GitHub Radar, followed by RSS Knowledge Inbox, then AI Context Builder.

Strategic anchor:

GitHub lets people publish code. Hugging Face lets people publish models, datasets, and demos. Prox OS explores letting people publish their own OS Apps, OS Spaces, source combinations, and AI Context. The App Store is only the curated storefront; the real commercial core is Space + Studio + Connector + Permission + MCP Gateway.
