Chat Connectors

Purpose

Chat Connectors is a user conversation context surface for authorized conversation summaries, decisions, people, and follow-ups.

Boundary

It is not ChatOS, ChatGPT, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, or a general messenger replacement. ChatOS remains the OS AI conversation archive; this app is a connector surface.

Current MVP UI

• Source cards for Prox OS Chat, Alma Archive, Community Chat, and external chat placeholders.
• Recent conversations, summary panel, context extraction, and permission boundary.

Mock Data Model

The UI uses mock conversation summaries, topic extraction, people references, decisions, and follow-up counts.

Future Connectors

Future work may add authorized imports, MCP summary tools, provider adapters, export importers, and user-owned conversation archives.

Alma Capabilities

Alma can later extract decisions, follow-ups, people, topics, and project context from approved summaries.

Permission Boundaries

Read-only summaries may be allowed. Reply, external send, and provider write actions require explicit confirmation and are disabled now.

Backend Status

No messaging protocol, external provider, send action, websocket, or backend route exists.

Security And Privacy

Conversation context can include third-party private data. Future summaries need redaction, consent, and source labels.
