The United States is not a no-privacy-law environment. The obligations are more fragmented across federal expectations, state privacy laws, sector-specific rules, breach notifications, payment provider rules, and litigation risk.

Product Implications

Prox OS still needs:

  • Privacy baseline.
  • Security hygiene.
  • Abuse controls.
  • Clear terms.
  • Hosted-content boundaries.
  • Payment provider alignment.
  • Incident and breach response awareness.

The product should not imply that US-hosted public UGC has no operational burden.
