When content is hosted under Prox OS-operated domains, login systems, databases, and object storage, it becomes hosted content. For example, a future URL such as prox-os.com/@alice/moments would require Prox Cloud operational responsibility.
Hosted Responsibilities
Prox Cloud responsibility includes:
- Storage and retention posture.
- Access control.
- Abuse reporting.
- Takedown and unpublish workflows.
- Security operations.
- Backups and recovery.
- Privacy operations.
- Billing operations.
- Support and incident response.
Launch Sequence
Prox Cloud should launch in stages:
- Private alpha.
- Invite-only beta.
- Private and invite-only hosted workspaces.
- Public profiles later.
- Public Spaces only after UGC launch gates.
Real Cost Model
Early infrastructure cost can be low. The real cost is operational responsibility: support, abuse handling, backups, security response, billing disputes, data migration, and long-term user trust.
Self-Hosting Responsibility
Self-hosting is an important Prox OS boundary. The software can be used in operator-owned environments, but that does not make every deployment a Prox Cloud hos
